Sunday with the families

Election day in France!  Some of our students went with their families to the polls this morning to witness the historic event, followed by some interesting political discussions and comparisons.

In the afternoon we went to the coastal city of Honfleur and happened to see two groups of students with their families: Brianna, Eugénie, Louis, and River, and then Catherine, Marine, Zoe, Tom, Orlane, and Adam.  We received many photos from the group and are happy to share some of them here.  Josie and Damien went to a park and ran through a field of yellow flowers.  Jessie and Berenice visited the coast (Port en Bessin and Arromanches-les-Bains).  Jasmine and Emma went to a climbing place, and Maeve and Maddie visited Rouen with Julie.  Michael and Andreas had a family lunch and then went to l'Abbaye du Bec.  They also went to the town of Deauville, where the rich and famous like to spend their weekends.  Taylor and Tilly also went to Deauville after going for a bike ride/run.  Katelynn got to meet the extended family and the neighbors of Mathilde's family, and Sara learned to play the piano a bit with Aliciane and then spent time at a local market.  Jess celebrated the birthday of Anais' mother with a massive meal in a restaurant before taking a tour of the area in the car.  Harrison got the chance to go go-karting with Hugo, and Matt went with Garry to vote and finished the day with a French film.  Isaiah had a large steak with fries for lunch with Leo and visited a church.  Abby had an amazing lunch with Agathe and her grandmother followed by dinner with Harrison and Hugo.  Kaitlynn and Noémie spent the day at the zoo!
